This workshop explores a holistic approach to balance. You will learn to address both outer balance (physical) and inner balance (how to calm and relax your nervous system), via gentle awareness through movement sequences based on the Feldenkrais Method.

Balance is a learned skill that we can change and improve at any age, due to neuroplasticity, the brains ability to change and adapt itself in response to learning and experience.

We rely on 3 major receptor systems for balance: Vestibular (inner ear - 10%), Ocular (eyes - 20%) and Proprioception/Kinesthesia (70%). This workshop will particularly help you improve your kinesthetic awareness, the ability to sense and feel the location and movement of your body in space, which is essential for optimal balance. 

This workshop is for people who are able to get on and off the floor as the majority of movements are in lying. It doesn’t mater if you have balance issues or not, as you can always improve how you move!

Pelvic Health Workshop:  Improve pelvic floor function and awareness, help manage back and pelvic pain, improve bladder control, sexual function and hip issues.

Based on the Feldenkrais Method, a powerful movement based learning system designed to improve posture, movement and comfort. It builds on kegel pelvic floor exercises, using a combination of breathing, pelvic and abdominal muscle activation in conjunction with whole body functional movements. The workshop includes a series of gentle guided awareness through movement classes, lying on the floor or sitting in a chair. Suitable for both men and women of all ages.
